4. I didn’t get to spend the night with Ronda at the Lyles house on Christmas Eve due to the fact that she is now recently married
5. Mark decided that this year there would be door prizes at our Christmas dinner…I won a Slap Chop
Some of the usual things…
1. Christmas Eve lunch at Granny and Grandad’s
2. Christmas Eve dinner at Mom and Mark’s
3. Mark gave a flashlight to the new boyfriend in the family
4. Christmas day lunch at Aunt Pam’s
5. Homemade Santa cookies made by Aunt Pam just for me
6. Someone made Granny cry with their thoughtful Christmas gift
7. I got to have dinner with my good friend Ryan
Christmas 2010 was a good one in my book! Since Dad died I always get a little nervous about how the holiday will go for me. This year though was wonderful. I still had moments of looking around and wishing that he was there and hating the fact that we wouldn’t go to his house on Christmas Eve to exchange gifts, but in the end its always a good feeling to know I made it through a family holiday and was able to remember him well.
I loved getting to stay at my grandparents and have them spoil me and Clay. I loved laughing with my family. I loved having my family come together to read scripture at church. I loved playing with my niece Emily on Christmas night. I loved eating dinner this year with not only Ryan, but his sweet new girlfriend Adrienne. I loved spending a day with my mom. I loved a last lunch with my friend Andrew. I just loved being home!
Here are some pictures from my time spent in good ol’ Pasadena!
