My Aunt Tammie, my mom’s sister, got married today!! Her new husband’s real name is Michael Mize, however we call him Rex.
They had a little ceremony at a park with just them and their kids and then we all went to Rex’s sister’s house to celebrate and eat. Clay even drove in from Kerrville, so we were all together.
I’m so happy that Tammie has found someone so great for her and someone who loves and treats her the way that she deserves. She’s dated several over the years and while we tolerated liked them, no one has been as great as Rex.
So to Rex – Thank you for loving my aunt and for accepting our family and all its craziness. I’m so happy to now call you Uncle Rex and have you officially part of the family. I can’t wait to see what you will look like at the next reunion in a pink shirt!
And to Aunt Tammie – I love you! Thanks for always reminding me how important it is not to settle to just be with anyone and to hold out for the real thing. You have always made me laugh and ever since I was a little girl I always wanted to be around you at family things because you were always the funniest. I’m so happy for you on this day and that I got to be here for it. Again I love you…and I hope you scored!
